Jehovah’s Witnesses

Jehovah’s Witnesses were just at my door, trying to step into the house as soon as the door was opened. Only the fact that I was wearing a dressing gown and could have exposed myself at any moment repelled them. But the question I have is, why do they always come in teams of man, woman and small child? What’s the child going to contribute? And more importantly, why is the man always wearing a neck-brace?

  1. We have a Kingdom Hall or whatever they call it round the corner from our place. I was walking past their once with my daughter and a bunch of be-suited smarmers gurned at her and said ‘what a beautiful child’.

‘Thank you,’ I replied, ‘and to think we would have lost her if it wasn’t for that blood transfusion.’

Pretty much killed the conversation dead.
